This week was full of outstanding events – two noble worldwide known artists visited Kyiv. Kenzo Takada and David Downton! We are huge fans of Kenzo as a fashion designer. But after visiting his exhibition “№” (16 paintings and 19 watercolors) we became admirers of his art. It made a huge impression on us.  And it is so inspiring!

Next day after the opening ceremony of David Downton exhibition, we had the meeting with this terrific illustrator. A big influencer in fashion illustration talked about the turning moments in his life, sources of inspirations, his favorite projects and tips how to succeed in what you are doing.

Davis was generous enough to spend his time and take a look at artworks of young Ukrainian illustrators. We are hope some of them would become new stars in fashion illustration industry.

Tony Orrico, a trained dancer from Illinois, makes performance an important component of his drawings. Each one is made by a choreographed set of gestures, repeated or improvised, over an extend period of time — anything between a few minutes and several hours. The “Penwald: 4: unison symmetry standing” series took place over the course of three consecutive evenings, his longest to date.

Shoshana Wayne Gallery, ‪2525 Michigan Ave‬nue #B1, ‪Santa Monica. The Tony Orrico sho‬w is on May 28 through July 9. Opening reception Saturday, May 28 from 5–7 pm.
