A new post in our rubric “Flashback”. Wonderful illustrator Sebastien Rossouw shared with us his inspirations of the past week. Sebastien is from South Africa but currently lives in USA. He graduated from Art Center College of Design. And he have already had awards: CMYK Top 100 New Creatives (2013), Print: Hand Drawn 2012 - Honorable Mention, American Illustration 31 - Chosen.
Anime of the week: ‘Attack on Titan.' It's impossible to ever stop watching cartoons when they're this gorgeous!
Inspiring nature: Los Angeles had a very uncharacteristic thunderstorm recently, and this was the sunset after it. Everything was drenched in pink-purple as the light faded away.
Cute pet: My cat keeping the studio entertaining =^.^=
Movies of the week: A gorgeous shot from the first Indiana Jones film. Just a great reminder of how descriptive a graphic image can be with the right palette.
Inspiring discovery: Who doesn’t get a thrill from discovering an old abandoned house tucked away in their neighborhood?
Thank you, Sebastien!

Fresh flashback with amazing Max Gregor! Do you like horrors as Max?  We share Max’s passion in cooking^^ Stay tuned!

Movie of the week: House of the Devil

I’m a huge fan of horror movies and have recently been watching a lot of movies by horror director Ti West. He’s only made a few Movies but this is one of his best. It scared the hell out of me.

Artwork inspiration: Sainer mural

I dabble in painting murals so i tend to keep an eye on whats going on in the world of street art. I recently saw this mural by polish graffiti artist sainer and it bew my mind. as a piece of illustration its fantastic but as a large scale mural its just mind blowing.

Video of the week: CollegeHumor Originals : Nicolas Cage’s Agent

Hobby as inspiration: cooking!

I really enjoy cooking and I cooked this recipe for me and my girlfriend recently and we both loved it! I know allot of people don’t like the thought of black pudding but trust me it really makes this dish.

Thank you Max!

There are few artists that almost need no introduction because their works are instantly recognized and loved by many our readers. Pat Perry is one of them. An artist and illustrator who calls Grand Rapids, Michigan home. Although he is happy to be able to speak and have an audience through his artwork, he does his best everyday to listen and learn from the world he lives in.

Today we would like to share a heartwarming Flashback that we received from Pat.

Last week I met a kid at the hospital named Michael. He was pretty inspirational; A kid around ten years old with Spina Bifida who was in rehab for the next 6-8 weeks. Bored, he started watching me draw. I drew a picture of him and he drew a picture for me to trade. I really was happy to meet the kid and hopefully brighten up his day as much as he brightened up mine.

Thanks Pat!
