There are few artists that almost need no introduction because their works are instantly recognized and loved by many our readers. Pat Perry is one of them. An artist and illustrator who calls Grand Rapids, Michigan home. Although he is happy to be able to speak and have an audience through his artwork, he does his best everyday to listen and learn from the world he lives in.
Today we would like to share a heartwarming Flashback that we received from Pat.
Last week I met a kid at the hospital named Michael. He was pretty inspirational; A kid around ten years old with Spina Bifida who was in rehab for the next 6-8 weeks. Bored, he started watching me draw. I drew a picture of him and he drew a picture for me to trade. I really was happy to meet the kid and hopefully brighten up his day as much as he brightened up mine.
Thanks Pat!
